There’s always something happening at The Body Mechanics! As we head into the holiday season, we have a few exciting updates to share with our community. From welcoming new faces to celebrating a growing family and settling into our new St-Jacques location, here’s what’s new at the clinic and what you need to know before your next visit.

What’s New? 📰

✅ Welcome Francis, our newest Certified Athletic Therapist, available Saturdays!
✅ Shanyce is back from maternity leave as of November 3, working Tuesdays and Wednesdays at our Cartier location.
✅ Our St-Jacques clinic has moved and is now fully up and running!
✅ Nick is preparing to welcome a new addition to his family in December.
✅ Holiday hours will be slightly reduced, so plan your appointments ahead of time!

Meet Francis, Our New Athletic Therapist! 👋

We’re excited to welcome Francis Desjardins, B.Sc., CAT(C), to The Body Mechanics team!

A graduate of Concordia University’s Athletic Therapy program in 2023, Francis brings experience working with athletes across a variety of sports, as well as providing coverage for Parasport Québec. His background has helped him develop a well-rounded approach to athletic therapy, injury management and rehabilitation.

Francis is passionate about helping athletes and active individuals recover from injuries, improve their performance and get back to doing what they love.

The best part? Francis is available on Saturdays! Whether you’re dealing with an injury, managing ongoing discomfort or looking to stay active, he’s here to help you reach your goals.

Shanyce Is Back from Maternity Leave! 🤍

We’re happy to announce that Shanyce Jarrett is returning from maternity leave on November 3!

We’re thrilled to have her back on the team and look forward to welcoming her clients back to the clinic.

Our St-Jacques Clinic Has Moved! 📍

Our St-Jacques clinic has officially moved, and we’re happy to share that we’re now fully up and running in our new space!

There is free parking available at the rear of the building for up to one hour, making your visit a little easier.

How to Find Us

Coming through the main entrance?

Enter the building at 4020 rue Saint-Ambroise.
Continue straight ahead and go down the stairs.
Turn left at the bottom of the stairs.
You’ll find TBM — Studio B-54 on your left.

Parking in the free rear parking lot?

Enter through the rear door of the building.
Go up the stairs, then turn left.
Turn right toward the front of the building.
Go down the stairs and turn left at the bottom.
You’ll find TBM — Studio B-54 on your left.

Exciting Family News: Nick Is Becoming a Dad! 👶

We have some exciting news to share! Nick and his family are getting ready to welcome a new addition, with his son expected to arrive toward the end of December. ❤️

To enjoy some special time with his growing family, Nick will be taking three weeks of paternity leave following his son’s arrival.

During this time, the rest of our team will remain available to support your care and rehabilitation needs. We’re committed to maintaining continuity of care and helping you stay on track with your recovery.

As we get closer to the due date, we’ll keep you informed of any updates. If the baby arrives earlier than expected and affects scheduled appointments, we’ll contact any impacted clients directly to make the necessary arrangements.

Thank you for your understanding as Nick and his family enjoy this exciting new chapter. We look forward to sharing updates with you as the holidays approach!

Tyler Covers His First Professional Soccer Game! ⚽

A big congratulations to Tyler, who covered his first professional soccer game in the Canadian Premier League (CPL) at the beginning of September! It’s exciting to see our team members bringing their athletic therapy expertise to the professional sports world. Way to go, Tyler!
