Marya joined TBM in 2021 as our Osteopath. She has great knowledge and understanding of the body, as well as an incredible intuition. A very skilled and experienced Osteopath, Marya is especially talented at getting to the root of your pain while helping you understand it. She treats a wide variety of injuries or conditions and people of all ages, including babies as young as a few weeks old.

Marya utilizes a global wellness approach to injury prevention, acute care and rehabilitation. She takes the time to educate the patient about their condition and develops corrective and preventative strategies. Exercises are often prescribed to enhance and maintain the treatment outcomes. Marya believes strongly in a multi-disciplinary approach and always considers the patient’s best interests.

Education
Marya Phan is a Certified Athletic Therapist (Concordia University, BSc. 2004), a Massage Therapist (Guijek, 2005) and an Osteopath (CEOM, D.O.(Q), 2015). She is now pursuing her Master's degree at the University of Montreal in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in concussion research.

Career
A Certified Sport First Responder (CRC since 2005), First Aid and CPR-AED (2014), she is now in the process of becoming a First Responder instructor for the Canadian Red Cross. She has also worked as the Medical Coordinator for many Provincial, National and International combative sports Championships. Furthermore, she is the Karate Québec medical coordinator and recently became part of Karate Canada’s Concussion Seminar project. She has over 10 years of clinic experience in the private and collegiate (Brébeuf) settings and still feels that she can learn something every day.

She is helping the Athletic Therapy community by being part the of the CATA Ethics Committee and has helped with the CBoCAT from 2013 to 2017.
